Nokia N73, I would say is a multipurpose that’s also easy for your wallet.
Things I got when I purchased the n73 music edition were obviously, the phone, then its installation cd, software and games cd, manuals etc and two headphones, One for travelling purposes thst is the ear plugs headphone and the other one is a noise resistant bigger headphones to enjoy my music. Apart from the inbuilt memory of 40 MB, the phone comes with a 2GB memory card. You cannot expand the memory put you can use multiple memory cards. You also get a USB cable for connecting to your PC.
The phone may not look that stylish but it is surely a wonderful piece from Nokia. Available in brown and black colors generally this phone also, has more color options according to your region.
Talking about the physical attributes, the phone has a sturdy body, a little cramped keypad and a nice cover that protects the camera lens.
Although you don’thave dedicated music play/stop keys, there is a music button which can be used to open the music player and if pressed for few more seconds, this key opens the radio in the phone.

Then you have the camera button and gallery button on the right side panel.
The camera button is used to take snaps or shoot video.
The gallery button is very useful and if you are going for smartphone of this kind for the first time, its very comfortable to browse your music, movies and pictures. The picture previews are way better.
The N73 has 2 cameras. One in the front, a low quality VGA camera. You can good pictures from this camera if there is sufficient daylight. Another in the back of the phone which will start when you push the camera cover slider. The back camera is a fabulous 3.2 megapixel camera whose quality can be set as per your needs like low file size, print quality etc. The video from this camera is avaerage quality though.
Things I liked about the phone:
I could install any game and software in this phone. And if you like games you will enjoy playing 3d games on this phone.
The camera captured many precious moments for me and the flash has got me good pictures even during night time. You have various camera settings and modes to help you get a good picture.
The to-do notes and calender entries displayed on the standby screen are very helpful.
The best part is the internet surfing. You have two options in the internet folder. The web option gives you a good internet experience with a relatively good speed. I could download files and mp3’s from the internet directly to my phone with a good speed and not as good as your broadband internet connection for the PC.(depends on your GPRS service).
The services option is customized to give you a better surfing experience of WAP sites.
The phone also supports bluetooth and infrared connectivity. You don’t have Wi-Fi in this phone.
You can do podcasting with your phone. You can read (edit to an extent) .pdf, word, powerpoint, excel files on this phone. You can also view supported flash files.
The quick access menu in the standby mode is also very useful and can be customized s per your needs.
Things I don’t like about the phone:
The phone hangs at times and is very irritating. But with a huge chunk of features in this phone I guess the problem was to occur and needs to be fixed. If the phone had a higher expandable memory it would have been very useful.
Things I feel would have made the phone complete for me:
A bigger memory.
A direct USB slot like your mp3 USB connector slot which is avialable in other nokia phones.
The headphones are good but if they were to be connected directly to the phone then that would have me more convenient.
If the phone wouldn’t hang and irritate mainly when you are taking snaps. (Don’t worry prospective buyers it also depends on the number of application you keep open or if you overload your phone’s memory with different stuff. The camera had hanged very few times.)
But all in all I love this phone. And it has been very useful for me (who is a gadget freak).
